More than 500 of Australia’s elite martial artists competed at the NAS Nationals held on the Gold Coast.
The 2011 National All-Styles Australian Championships came to a thrilling conclusion in Queensland, held at the Gold Coast 4th and 5th December 2011, with DELIO SENATORE from our club, Seishin-Ryu Karate-Do Aus, walking away with the men’s Champion of Champions Title.
Sensei Delio Senatore placed;
- 1st in Males open Black Belt Kata
- 1st in Males open Black Belt Lightweight Division
- 1st for males State vs State.
Sensei Delio had to then compete against the winners of the other divisions such as welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight.
Sensei Delio Senatore received the Champions of Champions Title belt and Trophy by beating all the rest of the Divisions.
Sensei Delio is the 1st Male Black Belt to win this Title from Queensland.
In addition to his success Seishin-Ryu Karate-Do Aus. produced 3 more National Champions;
- Dean Butler 1st in sparring Men’s Advanced Division
- Jesse Carroll 1st in sparring 16-17yrs
- Michelle Evans in Female team sparring State vs State
Tia Butler also placed 2nd in Female Advanced Kata.
